That was a very different position from the last ship on which Miss Robert had been a stewardess two years before. That ship had lifeboats for only half the number of people on board . . . The Titanic was considered to be unsinkable. There was a man from Barnoldswick on that ship also.... The Reverend Thomas R.Byles who had been Curate of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
