A Pleasing Climb

It was the view that made the climb worthwhile. To the north were the Pennines. The three highest peaks in the range were clearly visible; Ingleborough with its flat top, Pen – y – Ghent looking like a hump – back whale an Great Whernside with its sleep slopes the most majestic of them all at 2,300 feet.
